If you live in a major city, I wonder when you last stopped to appreciate just how awe-inspiring your surroundings are.
Living and working in cities, we often take for the granted the complex design and engineering that goes into constructing the incredible steel and concrete marvels that we inhabit on a daily basis. More than just a place for us to live and work, cities can be beautiful, too – sometimes rivalling the natural world.
As a reminder of just how jaw-droppingly beautiful cities can be, I’ve collected what I think are some of the best examples of city photography from a variety of online photo communities, including Flickr, deviantART and 1x.
Enjoy!
